MoI instructs to punish police officers of Diwaniya province

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior instructed to punish several police officers of Diwaniya police department on the background of the explosions that took place in Diwaniya province at the beginning of March, 2013.

The Ministry of Interior reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “The Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Adnan al-Asadi, instructed to direct a strict punishment for elements of Diwaniya police department by transporting them outside the province for failure in performing their duties.”

“Asadi ordered to form an investigation committee after the terrorist attacks that occurred in Diwaniya province,” the statement added.

Two car bombs exploded in a market for selling cattle in Diwaniya province and resulted in killing and injuring about 60 people. \
