MoT to receives 1st Boeing aircraft on Tuesday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Transportation announced receiving the first (Boeing 737-800) aircraft for the Iraqi Airways.The Ministry of Transportation quoted The Deputy General Director of the Iraqi Airways, Majid al-Ameri, as saying in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The General Company of the Iraqi Airways will receive the first Boeing within the deal that was concluded with Boeing Company to receive (30) aircraft successively till 2017.””The Minister of Transpiration concluded the deal with Boeing Company in order to develop the work of the Iraqi Airways by using modern aircrafts to be at the forefront of advanced companies in the field of air transport,” the statement added.

”Baghdad International Airport will witness a celebration that will be attended by the Minister of Transportation, representatives of the Iraqi Airways and several officials,” the statement pointed out.”The Minister of Transportation praised the unlimited support of the Prime Minister for the Iraqi Airways,” the statement concluded.
