MP confirms restructuring Iraqi Ministry of Electricity

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Suzan al-Saad of Fadhila bloc, member of the Parliamentary Oil, Energy Committee, revealed restructuring the Ministry of Electricity due to monitoring many negative aspects in its performance.

Saad stated that “The commission formed by the senior secretary of the Ministry decided restructuring the Ministry of Electricity because of diagnosing many negatives at the Ministry.”

“We suggested developing a directorate for projects in Iraq’s southern region to give wider authorities to implement the projects and conclude contracts with world companies without returning to the central authority where the suggestions will be submitted by the secretary to the minister to consider them,” she concluded.
