 Protesters in Muthanna, Karbala & Wasit decide to move their sit-ins to Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Muthanna – The protesters in the provinces of Muthanna, Karbala and Wasit have decided to move their sit-ins to Baghdad starting tomorrow.

A source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today the followers of the Sadrist Movement and a number of activists finished their protests in al-Muthanna, Karbala and Wasit provinces, and decided to move their sit-ins to Baghdad starting Monday.”

Noteworthy the provinces of Basra, Maysan, Thi Qar, Wasit, Karbala, Babil and al-Diwaniya had witnessed a number of demonstrations last Friday, calling for the end of the political quota system in Iraq.

Earlier today, dozens of followers of the Sadrist Movement demonstrated in front of the ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs in Baghdad.
