(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The American President Barack Obama renewed his country’s support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, while praised the balanced positions of Baghdad to ease the latest regional tensions.

The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “On Wednesday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a phone call from the American President Barack Obama congratulating him and the Iraqi people on the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against ISIS terrorist gangs in Ramadi and the rest of territories.”

The statement added, “Obama renewed the United States’ support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, while said that his country is ready to provide all kinds of support including air support, armament and training, in addition to helping Iraq to face the arising challenges from the decline in oil prices.”

“Obama praised the balanced positions of Iraq and its essential role to ease the regional tensions and prevent the increase in sectarian polarization, while emphasized the United States’ support to the sovereignty and unity of the Iraqi territory,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stated, that the Iraqi security forces are ready to retake the Iraqi territories that are occupied by the ISIS, while said that the recent victories emphasized the capability of the Iraqi forces to retake all the occupied territories.”
