Palestinian president arrives in Baghdad on official visit


Baghdad ( – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday arrived in Baghdad, on an official visit, during which he is scheduled to meet with his Iraqi counterpart Barham Saleh to discuss the current political situation in the country.

Abbas is set to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to discuss obstacles facing the Palestinian cause, as well as means of promoting relations between the two countries in all fields.

The president is accompanied by Head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Majed Faraj, Economic Affairs Adviser Mohammad Mustafa, and Diplomatic Adviser Majdi al-Khalidi.
