Iraqi Presidency ratifies exempting Salahuddin Governor from his position

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday the Iraqi Presidency ratified the decision of Salahuddin Provincial Council to exempt the governor Raed Ibrahim al-Jubouri from his duties, while issued a decree appointing Ahmed Abdullah Abdullah al-Jubouri as the new governor.

The presidency said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This decree to be implemented from the date of its issuance and will be published in the official newspapers.”

Noteworthy, Salahuddin Provincial Council voted on Monday (April 11, 2016) and chose Ahmed Abdullah al-Jubouri as the new governor of Salahuddin instead of Raed al-Jubouri.
