Shia paramilitary group leader urges Iraqis to fight for their freedom against ISIS

Amerli (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday the General Secretary of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, called on citizens of Nineveh, al-Anbar, and Salahuddin provinces to fight the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and win their freedom by standing their ground until their cities are free.

Khazali confirmed that, “the Iraqi government supports any movement against the ISIL militants and will provide aid and help to the armed clans who fight against the ISIL militants, describing the ISIL groups as cowards, urging the Iraqi patriots to redeem their sanctities and cities from them.

In a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, Khazali said that “The world recognized how coward the ISIL militants are from their last battle in Amerli.” Earlier in the same day, Khazali announced that, the main road which connects Baghdad, Diyali and Amerli have been redeemed by the Iraqi forces.
