Siemens opens empty offices for Iraqi and Syrian refugees

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the German industrial group Siemens announced the allocation of empty offices in Munich for receiving refugees, particularly from Iraq and Syria.

A spokesman for the group confirmed a story published by the ‘Der Spiegel’ magazine, “We offer the Municipal to put the headquarters our former offices in Munich at the disposal of the refugees.”

Siemens owns about 30 thousand square meters of vacant offices equipped with kitchens and toilets in a real estate complex in the east of Munich.

The spokesman said, “We count on the decision of the city in the coming days. They will determine when and how many people can be embraced.”
