Turkey provided aid for 40,000 Iraqi refugees

(IraqiNews.com) Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Sunday, that Turkey has provided 700 trucks of humanitarian aid for the Iraqi refugees in Turkey, who have numbered 40,000 displaced people.

In a joint press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, Yildiz stated: “Turkey has provided 700 trucks of humanitarian aid for the displaced, who numbered 40,000 displaced people in three camps and will provide more.”

Yildiz also noted that Turkey has expelled 1100 people from different nationalities and prevented 7000 foreigners from entering Syria and Iraq through its borders worrying that they would join the ISIS group.
