URGENT: Abadi declares emergency state in areas affected by rain

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Sunday the state of emergency in areas affected by rain, pointing to the formation of Ministerial Emergency Committee in this regard, while also stressed assigning the National Operations Center to coordinate efforts between various parties.

The Information Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Iraqinews.com: “The Prime Minister declared the state of emergency in the areas affected by the rain that exceeded the capacity of the drain, which threatens Baghdad and some provinces.”
