URGENT: UN confirms ISIL kidnapped 150 Yazidi families, moved them to Syria

(IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights announced on Wednesday that militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant kidnapped 150 Yazidi families and transferred them to Syrian territory.

Al-Iraqiya TV channel said, in a newsflash followed IraqiNews.com, that “that militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant kidnapped 150 Yazidi families and took them to the Syrian territory in the Hol camp near the Syrian-Iraqi border.”

Security sources reported earlier on Wednesday that Kurdish Peshmerga forces progressed significantly toward the area of Sinjar northwest of Mosul, noting that the militants ISIL started to retreat.
