Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) The first Hussainiyah March in Nineveh was held after liberating the province from the grip of the Islamic State extremist group, Alsumaria News reported in a video on Monday.

The video revealed that Shabak Iraqis (an ethno-religious group who live mainly in the villages of Ali Rash, Khazna, Yangidja, and Tallara in Sinjar District of Nineveh Province in northern Iraq) held the March after liberating the areas of Nineveh Plain, to celebrate Imam Hussein Arba’een.

The residents of the liberated areas also vowed in the video to organize Hussainiyah Marches in central Mosul in the coming years, after ISIS deprived them from practicing their religious rights for a long time.
