Bomb blast kills, wounds 10 people in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Monday, that ten people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in al-Sadr City in eastern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by, “This morning, a booby-trapped motorcycle that was parked near shops in al-Sadr City exploded, killing one person and wounding nine others.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Ambulances rushed to the area and evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while cordoned off the area of the incident and barred approaching it.”
