10 people killed, wounded in bomb blast west of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday, that ten people were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast west of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview to, “a bomb exploded, this morning, near shops in al-Shaala area west of Baghdad, resulting in the death of two people and the injury of eight others.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “the security forces rushed to the area and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while an operation was carried out in search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
