 11720 families leave Sharqat and Qayyarah due to military operations

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced that the latest statistics showed that the number of displaced persons from Sharqat district in Salahuddin, Qayyarah and the areas south of Mosul reached 11720 families since the beginning of the military operations in these areas last month.

“The ministry received 710 families during the last two days in the IDPs center in Baiji district coming from the areas and villages of Sharqat in Salahuddin province and the areas south of Mosul due to the liberation operations,” said Mohanad Saleh Abdel Rahim, Director of the Northern Provinces department in the ministry .

Abdel Rahim added, “The number of displaced families from the outskirts of Sharqat and Qayyarah till now have reached 11720 displaced families.”
