13 elements of al-Hashed al-Shaabi killed, injured in mortar shell fall on Hamrin Mountains

(IraqiNews.com) Salah AL-Dien – A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Sunday, that 13 elements of al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters had been either killed or wounded in the fall of a mortar shell on Hamrin Mountains region north of Tikrit (170 km north of Baghdad).
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A mortar shell fired by ISIS fell on a gathering of al-Hashed al-Shaabi elements in Hamrin Mountains region during the ongoing military operations to cleanse the area, resulting in the death of five elements and wounding eight others.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “The joint forces continue the military operations to cleanse the area amid intensive shelling.”
