13 killed, 63 wounded in Iraq in 24 hours

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: 13 people were killed, including a Ministry of Interior’s officer, and 63 others were wounded in the violent acts that took place throughout Iraq during the last 24 hours. In Babel province, a security source said that the casualties from the car bomb explosion that ripped through the south of Hilla on Thursday rose to 12 dead and 60 wounded. Earlier, a security source said that 40 civilians were killed or wounded on Thursday in a car bomb blast that ripped through Hilla city. In Baghdad, a police source said that three civilians were wounded on Thursday in a bomb blast in western Baghdad. A policeman was killed on Thursday by unknown gunmen in central Baghdad, a police source said. MH (P)/SR 1
