13 people killed, wounded in explosion in northern Baghdad

( Baghdad – On Monday, a source in the Ministry of Defense revealed, that 13 people were either killed or wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device in northern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by, “A bomb exploded, at noon today, near a market in al-Falahat area in al-Tarmiya District in northern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding 11 others.”

The source, who asked to be anonymous, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department.”
