10 people killed, wounded in bomb blast near market in southern Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, that ten people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast near a fruits and vegetables market in southern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by, “A bomb exploded, this morning, near a fruits market to sell fruit and vegetables in Yusufiya area south of Baghdad, killing one person and injuring nine others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while cordoned off the area of ​​the incident and barred approaching it.”
