Bus explosion kills, wounds 7 people in northern Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday, that seven people had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an adhesive bomb that was emplaced under a bus in northern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement obtained by, “This evening, an adhesive explosive device emplaced under a bus exploded while passing in Husseiniya area in northern Baghdad, killing one person and wounding six others, including the bus driver, as well as causing material damage to the bus.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while cordoned off the area and prevented approaching it.”
