(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) announced on Thursday, the arrest of 15 individuals on the background of the recent events that took place in Adhamiya district, while noted to the arrest of a number of rumor-mongers who would be brought to justice on charges of terrorism.

Operations commander Lt. Gen. Abdul-Amir al-Shammari said during a joint press conference with the head of the Shiite Endowment Alaa al-Moussawi, attended by IraqiNews.com, “There are rumors spreading in different parts in Aden Square, Mohammed Jawad and Utaifiyya yards in the same area, in which there was the event of the burning of the Investment Sunni Endowment building,” adding that, “We were surprised that some infiltrators tried to break into the Investment Sunni Endowment building and land on some neighboring rooftops to burn five of houses as well as some cars.”

Shammari added, “About 15 people were arrested on the background of the events, in addition to the arrest of a number of rumor-mongers,” pointing out that, “They will be brought to justice on charges of terrorism.”
