 15 French “experts” in chemical weapons killed by aerial bombing in Samarra

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Joint Operations Command announced on Monday killing dozens of ISIS elements, including 15 French chemical weapons “experts” by an aerial bombing in Samarra Island south of Tikrit (170 km north of Baghdad).

Joint Operations Command said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Iraqi Air Force conducted air strikes against ISIS sites in Samarra Island south of Tikrit, based on intelligence information,” noting that, “The strikes killed 30 ISIS elements, including 15 French experts in chemical weapons.”

The statement added, “The strikes also destroyed four car bombs and three hideouts, in addition to killing dozens of ISIS elements, including three foreigners,” pointing out that, “The air strikes also destroyed heavy weapons and a store of ammunition as well as two labs for booby-trapping vehicles.”
