 19 ISIS fighters killed by aerial bombardment in western Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The leadership of Anbar police announced on Wednesday, that 19 fighters belonging to the so-called ISIS were killed and their convoy was destroyed in western Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad).

The police’s 14th emergency regiment in al-Baghdadi vicinity, Captain Shoaib al-Obeidi, said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aircraft bombed, at noon today, a convoy of ten vehicles belonging to ISIS in al-Baradiya area in western Baghdadi (70 km west of Ramadi), killing 19 ISIS fighters and destructing their convoy.”

Obeidi added, “ISIS is seeking to bolster the presence of its members in the areas of Heet and Baghdadi, as well as launching unsuccessful attacks in order to open havens for its besieged fighters to escape from Heet and the nearby regions.”

Noteworthy, most of Anbar Province were controlled by ISIS, while the Iraqi security forces begun several cleansing battles and managed to retake the city of Ramadi after fierce battles.
