23 killed, wounded in car bomb explosion in Amil district southwest of Baghdad



( A security source within the Iraqi police announced on Monday, that at least 23 people have been either killed or wounded in a car bomb explosion southwest of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for, “A car parked on the roadside near Abu Ihab restaurant in the industrial district in al-Amil neighborhood southwest Baghdad exploded at noon today, killing four civilians and wounding 19 others.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Ambulances and police forces rushed to the scene, while the security forces cordoned off the area.”
