(IraqiNews.com) Salah AL-Dien – The commander of the 17th Infantry Brigade of the Iraqi army Mo’d Baday announced on Sunday the arrest of 24 ISIS elements in west of Salahuddin province, noting that large quantities of weapons, ammunition and mines have been seized from the detainees.

Baday said in an interview for IraqiNews.com,  “A force of the Iraqi army was able to arrest 24 elements belonging to ISIS, as well as capturing 130 mortar shells in Mikshifiya area west Salahuddin.”

“The forces also seized 28 mines, 60 pieces of light weapons, 30 pieces of medium weapons, 40 medium and light ammunition containers, and 35 IED,” Baday added.

Military operations in the Salahuddin province are continuing to liberate the rest of the regions held by ISIS militants.
