34 ISIS elements killed in Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Tuesday, that 34 ISIS elements have been killed in armed clashes with the joint security forces, noting that they were hiding in different houses in Qadisiyah neighborhood north of Tikrit.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Security forces of the federal police and al-Hashd al-Sha’bi clashed with a number of ISIS elements in Qadisiyah neighborhood north of the city of Tikrit,” pointing out that, “These elements were hiding in several houses in the neighborhood.”
The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The clashes resulted in killing 34 ISIS elements, in addition to killing a senior commander in al-Hashd al-Sha’bi forces and an officer in Salahuddin police.”
