4 deaths, 17 injuries in eastern Baghdad explosions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source within the police force stated, that four people have been killed and 17 others were wounded in several explosions that took place in eastern Baghdad.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “This evening, a bomb has gone off in the area of al-Hamza in Sadr city, located eastern Baghdad, and resulted in killing a person and injuring five others in the explosion,” adding that, “Another explosion in the eleventh sector of Sadr city has also caused three injuries.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “A bomb that was emplaced in a car near al-Baladiyat and al-Rashad crossing has also exploded today, causing a number of casualties among civilians.”
