(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force said on Sunday, that four soldiers have been wounded in an armed attack on an army patrol south of Baghdad.

The source told IraqiNews.com, “Unidentified gunmen, driving a modern vehicle, fired their weapons against the elements of army patrol in the area of al-Siyafiyah in the district of al-Rashid in southern Baghdad, resulting in the injury of four soldiers.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “Security forces rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, while carried out a raid operation in search of the militants.”
