(IraqiNews.com) President of the Council of Anbar province Sabah Krhot announced on Wednesday that 41 ISIS elements, including 17 suicide bombers, have been killed while trying to raid Ramadi, noting that the security forces control the situation in the city.

Krhot said in an interview for IraqiNews, “The security forces of the army troops, the police forces and other sectors backed by tribal fighters managed today to repel an ISIS attack, the deadliest of its kind in the current year, on different areas of the city of Ramadi.”

Krhot added, “The security forces and the tribesmen managed to kill 41 ISIS elements, including 17 suicide bombers; they were driving bomb vehicles,” adding that, “All parts of Ramadi are under control.”

Krhot continued, “There is a great support from the Counter-Terrorism troops and the tribal fighters who spread on the front barriers to repel any attack by the terrorist group on Ramadi.”
