 47 ISIS elements killed in air strike in western Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, a security source stated, that 47 elements of ISIS organization were killed in an aerial bombardment on their headquarters in western Anbar.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today, the international coalition aviation has shelled ISIS headquarters in the industrial area in Hīt District (70 km west of Ramadi), killing 47 elements and destroying their headquarters, as well as three vehicles belonging to the organization.”

“The aerial bombardment was carried out based on intelligence information, while inflicted heavy human and material losses on ISIS,” he added.

Noteworthy, Hīt District and Kabisa area were captured by ISIS elements in 2014, after a number of confrontations with the security forces.
