(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Sources in the Iraqi police revealed on Sunday, that six people were either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device in Madain area south of the capital Baghdad.

The source said in a press statement that “a person was killed and five others were injured in the explosion of an explosive device in Madain area south of the capital Baghdad.”

The source added that the blast targeted a gathering of residents in the center of a market.

Noteworthy, Baghdad and its surroundings witness similar bombings, using improvised explosive devices and car bombs targeting local communities and Iraqi security forces.
