60 policemen under investigation after 6 volunteer fighters killed

(IraqiNews.com) According to a security source, the Ministry of Interior has referred 60 policemen of Balad police to investigation on the background of the death of 6 volunteer fighters from Saraya al-Khorasani, which belong to al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia, noting that the investigation was transferred to Baghdad, while dozens of people protested against the transfer of the investigation to the capital.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Ministry of Interior issued an order to refer 60 policemen from Balad police to investigation on the background of the death of 6 volunteer fighters from Saraya al-Khorasani, grouped under al-Hashed al-Sha’bi earlier.”
The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The ministry has instructed the transfer of the investigation of this crime to the capital Baghdad.”
