7 arrested in Saadiya

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen captured a wanted man and six suspects in the district of al-Saadiya on Sunday, a security source in Diala said. “Six were arrested in Saadiya, (35 km) south of Khanaqin, on charges of involvement with armed groups,” the source told Iraqi News. “The arrested suspects are currently under investigative custody,” the source added. Khanaqin, 155 km northeast of Baaquba, is one of the districts subject to dispute between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG). “Another police force captured a wanted man in the neighborhood of Tabba, central Saadiya, based on intelligence tip-offs,” the source said.
