7 people killed and wounded in bomb blast south of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that seven people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast south of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for, “A bomb exploded this morning near shops in Madain District south of Baghdad, resulting in the killing of one person and wounding six others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “A security force rushed to the area of the incident and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the body of the dead man to the forensic medicine department, while a raid and search operation was carried out to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
