(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced Monday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast south of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded this morning in Diriyah village in Madain District south of Baghdad, killing two people and wounding six others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “A security force rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while carried out an inspection operation to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
