8 people killed and wounded in bomb blast east of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast east of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for,”An explosive device that was emplaced inside a bus exploded, this afternoon, in al-Machtal area east of Baghdad, resulting in the death of two people and wounding six others, as well as causing material damage to the bus.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added: “the security forces rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and the party that stands behind it.”
