(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast south of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded, this morning, near a popular market in the district of Mahmudiya south of Baghdad, resulting in the death of one person and wounding seven others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “security forces rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to Mahmudiyah hospital to receive the treatment and dead body to the forensic medicine department,” without giving further details.
