(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in western Baghdad.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, a bomb exploded near shops in al-Tobji area in western Baghdad, killing one person and wounding seven others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while carried out an operation to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
