(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device northeast of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “A bomb exploded this morning near Shalalat market in Shaab District north of Baghdad, resulting in the killing of one person and wounding seven others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “Ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department,” without giving further details.
