9 people killed, wounded in bomb blast in Madain District in southern Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in southern Baghdad.

The source said in a brief statement received by, “Today evening, a bomb exploded near a popular soccer stadium in Madain District in southern Baghdad, killing one person and injuring eight others.”

The source added on condition of anonymity, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while carried out a raid to find the perpetrators of the bombing.”
