Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has arrived in the city of Mosul, on Wednesday, to discuss the latest developments in the city in detail with security and military leaders.

The Prime Minister’s media office issued a brief statement saying that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived, this morning, in the city of Mosul to check on the troops of ‘We Are Coming, Nineveh’ Operations.

Abadi also visited a number of liberated areas and neighborhoods in western Mosul, and met the residents of these areas.

Joint security and military forces are carrying out extensive military operations, to retake the city of Mosul from the Islamic State group, while Abadi announced in 19 February 2017, launching a new phase of operations to recapture the western side of the city.
