Abbas brigade deploys armored troops along Karbala borders

(IraqiNews.com) Karbala – Abbas brigade of al-Hashd al-Shaabi on Tuesday revealed its intention to deploy armored troops along Karbala borders.
The general supervisor of the brigade Maitham al-Zaidi, in a statement issued to the media, said, “The [Abbas] brigade managed to liberate some cities from ISIS control and earned the trust of [Iraqi] people during its combat operations in the occupied cities.”
In the meantime the commander of the Abbas brigade’s armored regiment Colonel Najm Abdullah al-Abadi said, “The brigade is seeking to deploy armored troops along Karbala borders,” further adding,“The brigade’s 1st battalion will move today after coordinating with Mid-Euphrates Operations Command.”
