Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Commander the army’s 7th brigade, Major General Numan al-Zawbaei, announced on Wednesday, that a coalition air strike on the Iraqi-Syrian borders in Qaim City, west of Anbar, destructed a camp belonging to the Islamic State group.

Zawbaei said in a press statement, “An air strike carried out by the international coalition air force destroyed a camp belonging to the Islamic State group in Umm al-Wez area, south of Qaim (350 km west of Anbar), on the Iraqi-Syrian borders.”

“The air strike resulted in the destruction of two vehicles belonging to the group, as well as killing 18 terrorists,” Zawbaei explained. “The air strike was conducted after monitoring the terrorists while entering the camp,” he further added.

Noteworthy, international coalition air strike is providing support and military aid to Iraqi troops and tribal fighters in the liberation battles of areas west of Anbar.
