Al-Hashd al-Watani announces cleansing kanona village in Bashiqah

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – An informed source in Nineveh Province announced on Saturday, that the security forces retook a village near Bashiqah northeast of Mosul.
The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, al-Hashd al-Watani forces launched an attack on ISIS headquarters in Kanona village near Bashiqah City northeast of Mosul,” pointing out that, “The village was cleansed of ISIS militants.”
The source added, “The Peshmerga forces, coalition aviation and the Turkish artillery that were stationed in Zilkan Camp backed al-Hashd al-Watani forces during the attack.”
