Al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia foils suicide attack by ISIS north of Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) The commander of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi in Diyali province Jabbar Ma’amouri said Saturday, that the Iraqi joint forces foiled a suicide attack in Saqlawiyah north of Fallujah.

Ma’amouri stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The joint security forces, supported by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters, repelled a suicide attack by a car on one of the first defensive lines in the western side of Saqlawiyah District, located north of Fallujah,” asserting that “The car bomb was detonated by remote control before hitting the defensive lines by more than 500 meters.”
