(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday the authority of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi called the government to expel the Saudi ambassador Thamer al-Sabhan from Iraq and punish him on the back of his recent statements against al-Hashed forces.

Ahmed al-Asadi, a spokesman for al-Hashed al-Sha’bi, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The statements by the Saudi ambassador on Sumaria TV exceeded all the limits and reflected the premeditated intentions to send an ambassador of state that supports terrorism.”

Asadi added, “The statements by this so-called against al-Hashed al-Sha’bi and the government does not increase us except in insistence on the elimination of ISIS,” urging, “The Iraqi government and the Foreign Ministry to expel the ambassador and punish him for his rudeness against the Iraqi people and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi.”
