Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Commander of Anbar Operations, Major General Mahmoud al-Falahi, announced on Saturday finding the Islamic State’s Abu Talha al-Mar’awi Camp, southwest of Ramadi, while pointed out that this camp was used for the manufacturing of explosives and booby-trapped vehicles.

Falahi said in a press statement, “Army forces searched the area of Wadi al-Kazf (90 km southwest of Ramadi), and found Abu Talha al-Mar’awi Camp that belongs to the Islamic State group there.”

“The camp includes a plant for the manufacturing of explosives, booby-trapped vehicles and rockets launchers, in addition to caches of weapons and a fuel warehouse,” Falahi added.

Falahi revealed that five booby-trapped vehicles and C4 explosive materials were also found, while security forces detonated and burned all materials that were found inside the camp.

Noteworthy, the Islamic State uses the desert areas in Anbar as hideouts and locations, to launch attacks on security forces and checkpoints in Ramadi and Fallujah.
