Anti-Terrorism forces enter Sofiya area east of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, a source in the Anti-Terrorism Bureau announced, that a force from the Anti-Terrorism forces in cooperation with Anbar police managed to enter al-Sofiya area east of Ramadi.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today, Anti-Terrorism forces and Anbar police were able to enter al-Sofiya area east of Ramadi through the northwest area of the city center.”

He added, “The security forces are advancing to liberate the whole area from the ISIS organization,” pointing out that, “ISIS planted dozens of explosive devices in the area to hinder the progress of the security forces.”
