Antiquities employee killed in Diala blast

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: An employee working for the antiquities department was killed in a blast near Diala’s Baaquba city, according to a local security source. “Today, an explosive device exploded on a main street in Bahraz district (5 km south of Baaquba) near a civilian vehicle carrying an antiquities employee and his son,” the source told Iraqi News. The employee was killed and his son was severely wounded, the source added. The source did not provide further details. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
